Before you buy

There isn't just one person around you. Partner, parents, kids, coworkers, friends: each has a type, and each type gets a chapter. The one you came for takes one; the other fifteen are about people already in your life.

The card is a few lines. The chapter runs over ten pages: how the pair starts, where the first crack shows, who hurts whom and how, plus love, work, children and friendship at a distance.

No. The chapter shows where the pair usually chafes, where it's stronger than most, and in its last section what really changes things. The type sets a direction, not an outcome: chapter 21, “The Type Is Not a Verdict”.

The profile is you from the inside: how you love, work, argue. The guide sees you from the outside, next to people of all sixteen types: what comes naturally with each and what takes effort. Neither repeats the other.

Ask them to take the free test: ten minutes gets you a working version of their type and the right chapter. Those who won't, you can learn to hear; that's what “A Field Guide to the 16 Types” teaches. This guide doesn't.
